Our team includes psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, and support staff working together to provide evidence-based mental health care, advanced treatment options, and a patient-centered experience.

At SANA Psychiatric Associates, appointment availability varies, but our team works to offer timely access to care whenever possible. If intake paperwork is completed promptly, we may be able to accommodate appointments sooner than many traditional psychiatric practices.

During your initial evaluation, your provider will review your symptoms, medical history, treatment history, current concerns, and goals. This information helps create a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, therapy recommendations, TMS, Spravato, or a combination of services.  Read More Here

A psychiatrist is a medical provider who can evaluate mental health conditions, diagnose disorders, prescribe medications when appropriate, and oversee treatment plans. Therapists provide counseling and psychotherapy. Many patients benefit from both medication management and therapy working together.

Our providers commonly evaluate and treat:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Depression
  • ADHD
  • OCD
  • PTSD
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Insomnia
  • Mood disorders
  • Treatment-resistant depression

Every treatment plan is individualized based on each patient’s needs and goals.

Not necessarily. Mental health treatment is highly individualized. Some patients benefit from medication management, while others may benefit from therapy, lifestyle changes, TMS, Spravato, or a combination of approaches. Treatment recommendations are based on your unique clinical needs.

Because every insurance plan’s criteria for eligibility for psychiatric or behavioral treatment is different, we encourage you to contact your insurance carrier to learn about your benefit coverage and their criteria for inpatient treatment. Please be aware this list changes frequently, so please call us to confirm.

Since every insurance plan is different, you may want to call your insurance company directly to ask how much you will be reimbursed for your visit. Below is a guide for the questions to ask your insurance company for the most accurate information:

  1. Does my plan include out of network benefits?
  2. What is my deductible, if any?  (A deductible is the amount of money you will need to pay before your insurance company will provide you with reimbursement for our services.)
  3. Depending on the services provided, you can expect to be reimbursed different amounts.

Yes. We offer in-person psychiatric care in Frisco, Texas, as well as telepsychiatry services for patients located anywhere in Texas. This provides flexibility while maintaining continuity of care.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. TMS may be recommended for individuals who have not experienced sufficient improvement with traditional depression treatments.

Spravato® (esketamine) is an FDA-approved prescription treatment used for certain forms of treatment-resistant depression. It is administered in a certified medical office under provider supervision and may be an option when traditional treatments have not provided adequate relief.
